About Blue Ridge Bank
Since 1893, and Still in the Same Corner: Yours
Founded in Luray, Virginia in 1893, Blue Ridge Bank has weathered every kind of economy while keeping its eye on what's always mattered most — the families and businesses of this region.
Our Mission
Independent. Community-Owned. Still Here.
Banking has changed beyond recognition since 1893 — new technology, wave after wave of mergers, crisis and recovery. Through all of it, we've stayed independent and community-owned. That's no accident. It's a choice we make for this region, year after year.
"To provide financial solutions and advice that enable our customers to achieve sustainable financial success — delivered in a manner consistent with safe and sound banking, long-term shareholder value, and an improved quality of life for our customers, employees, and communities."
— Blue Ridge Bank Mission Statement
Our Story
From Page County to All of Virginia
Blue Ridge Bank was chartered in 1893 as the "Page Valley Bank of Virginia" — the only bank in Page County at the time. For over a century, we've served the families and businesses of this region through wars, recessions, and the profound changes of modern life.
On October 15, 2011, we became Blue Ridge Bank — a name that reflects our deep roots in this landscape and our commitment to the people who call it home. Today, our footprint covers Virginia and North Carolina with 26 branches serving communities across the region.
We remain a locally owned, independent community bank — and from all of us at BRB, thank you for well over a century of trust. We reiterate our never-wavering commitment to the generations ahead.
Our Core Values
The Compass Behind Every Decision We Make
Plenty of companies hang their values on a wall. These are the ones we actually live by — in every conversation, every lending decision, and every dollar we put back into the community, whether anyone's watching or not.
Communication
Open, honest dialogue with our customers, partners, and each other — especially when the conversation is hard.
Teamwork
Every branch, every department, working together. When you call BRB, you get the whole team.
Accountability
We own our actions, our promises, and our results — and we're careful stewards of what our customers and community entrust to us.
Respect
Every customer, employee, and community member treated with dignity and care — every single time.
Integrity
Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Especially when no one is watching.
Leadership
The Team at the Helm
Caring for a community bank founded in 1893 takes real banking know-how and a genuine love for this region. Our leadership brings both to work every day.
